Rick Meyers is Vice President, Technical and Northern Affairs of the Mining Association of Canada. He is responsible for a broad range of mine-site environmental and technical issues such as tailings, waste-rock, water and effluent management. He also responds to industry issues in Canada’s three northern territories specifically related to northern mineral development, including Canada’s diamond industry, economic development, infrastructure, regulatory issues, and he engages in community outreach activities involving northern Aboriginal Peoples affected by or interested in participating in mining and mineral development. He received a BSc in Geology from Carleton University and a MSc in Economic Geology from McGill University.
