International Scientific Collaboration Committee
The International Scientific Collaboration Committee (ISCC) has been established as a cost-effective mechanism for coordination and communication among the project's most active, well-funded participants. It represents the principal mechanism for making critical decision about the research direction of the iBOL Project. The ISCC meets annually to assist and advise the Scientific Director in achieving project objectives.
ISCC members are individuals who are actively involved in DNA barcoding projects and have received major funding. They demonstrate a strong commitment to the iBOL data release policy and are involved in the coordination of barcoding projects at an institutional or national level. Membership is restricted to individuals from nations or organizations which have committed at least $250,000 to DNA barcoding research linked to iBOL.
