Registration open for online metabarcoding course

This course covers next-generation sequencing, environmental DNA (eDNA), metabarcoding analytics as well as applications and recent research

Metabarcoding is a method for rapidly assessing biodiversity from bulk or environmental samples. With a wide range of applications, it relies on molecular techniques such as PCR and next-generation sequencing as well as bioinformatics and biostatistics competence to analyze sequencing results.

This program will provide an overview of the state of current technology and the various platforms used.

It is designed for researchers, educators, government regulatory staff, graduate students, forensic staff, lab technicians, museum collection staff alike.
