BOLD is currently maintained and developed at a single location. Mirror sites will strengthen data security and ensure that system upgrades can be accomplished without transient disruption of services. iBOL is establishing two mirror sites, one in Asia and the other in Europe, to provide essential security and functionality for BOLD as it supports the global biodiversity community.
