Member Organizations:

Several other organisations are actively involved in the barcoding venture, have indicated interest in being part of the network, but have not yet formally signed the NZBOL MoU. Further updates are expected before activation of iBOL.

Current Operations:

NZBOL members contribute to several ongoing iBOL campaigns and working groups including: FishBOL, MarBOL, All Leps and All Caddis initiatives.

Several marine and terrestrial expeditions undertaken as part of the International Polar Year resulted in extensive collections of fish and macro-invertebrates from New Zealand and the Ross Sea region of Antarctica.
