The Consortium for the Barcode of Life (CBOL) is organizing a side event on DNA barcoding during the 6th session of the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM) in Rome, March 14-18.

iBOL will participate in the side event and in a display of posters about DNA barcoding.

The CPM governs the implementation of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) and is composed of representatives from contracting parties to the IPPC.

The CPM meets annually and provides a forum for the discussion of international plant protection issues and sets the annual program of work for the IPPC.

For more information about the proposed DNA barcoding side event, contact David Schindel, Executive Secretary, Consortium for the Barcode of Life.
